Our hens live a lavish and respected life.  They have a safe 1-acre area to roam freely that has woods, grass, and water - it's their own natural oasis.  Their coops are air-conditioned so when they are working extremely hard laying eggs (AKA giving birth) they are cool and comfortable. They are safe from predators but have everything they need to be beyond content.  Our birds are our pets, they are not a business, a source of income, or anything else.  We invest a significant amount of time and money into our birds and enjoy every minute.  We say that "chickens come with a daily smile guarantee".  They give us tons of enjoyment so it's only fair that we return the favor by giving them a genuine and enjoyable life.  Also, eggs from content well cared for chickens are significantly better than other eggs.  All living things, from people to ants to plants to livestock should be treated with equal respect.  We strongly adhere to the "Ancient Contract" farming method.
